What are aged home services leads?
Aged home services leads are homeowners who filled out an online quote request for a home improvement project 30 or more days ago. The request was first sold in real time through the PX marketplace. Once that window passes, the record moves into aged inventory at a lower price, with the same contact details, project answers, and consent trail.
Home projects are rarely decided in a week. Homeowners wait for a budget, financing, a second quote, or the right season. Many of them are still planning the project when an aged record reaches you.
Services and what each record tells you
Solar. Monthly electric bill, utility provider, roof shade, number of stories, system type, and installation location (roof or ground).
Windows. Project type (new installation, repair, or replacement), number of windows, and purchase timeframe.
Roofing, siding, and gutters. The service requested, project details, and timeline where the form captured them.
HVAC. The service requested and project details, such as system type, where captured.
Bathroom remodeling. Homeowners planning a bathroom project, with timeline where captured.
Home security. Homeowners who asked about a security system. Inventory is limited, as it is for gutters.
Every record includes property type and homeownership status. Fields depend on what the original form captured, and your count confirmation includes fill rates before you buy.
Why aged home improvement leads come back
A homeowner who asked for a roofing or window quote three months ago usually still has the same roof and the same windows. What changed is timing: a tax refund, a financing approval, a storm, or a change of season.
Solar is especially sensitive to the electric bill. Records with a high monthly bill and full sun are the strongest solar prospects, whenever they come in.
How contractors work aged home services leads
Filter before you buy. Order only the service types and ZIP codes inside your install territory, and require homeownership. Standard filters are free.
Load clean data. Scrub the file against the National DNC Registry under your own SAN, and upload your existing customers and open quotes for suppression so you only pay for new prospects.
Open with their original request. Refer to the quote they asked for instead of a cold pitch. Homeowners respond better to “you were looking at this a few months ago” than to a generic offer.
Work a multi-touch cadence. Combine calls, email, direct mail, and texts where you have consent over roughly two weeks. Our 14-day aged lead sales playbook lays out the sequence day by day.
Plan around the season. Call roofing, siding, and HVAC prospects ahead of peak season, when homeowners are most ready to book.
Consent, verification, and compliance
Every aged home services record comes from a consumer-initiated quote request, most of them captured on the PX marketplace. Each file includes:
The TCPA consent text the consumer agreed to and the submission timestamp
A Jornaya LeadiD or TrustedForm certificate where captured, so you can verify the original lead event independently
Buying aged data doesn’t transfer your own obligations. You still need your own DNC subscription (SAN), state list scrubs, and a contact strategy that fits current TCPA rules for each channel you use. Our DNC compliance guide for aged leads covers the details.
